Hill Reads Book Club
Growing financial literacy through reading, sharing resources, and community.
The Why:
Money is one of the single most uncomfortable topics in the Black community. Shame, confusion, and lack of understanding lead to conflict and discomfort within our businesses, friendships, families, and even ourselves.
The outcome? We avoid discussing these topics altogether. As a result, we privately struggle or privately succeed.
Considering what we have experienced since 2020, life is only becoming more and more complex, and for many, a deficit of financial education is driving a wedge between our dreams and our outcomes.
Who is this for?
Black women getting a grip on their money. We all have something to contribute to this conversation. Questions, answers, and perspectives from our lived experience.
This group is for anyone looking to expand their financial literacy within a judgment-free community that is also figuring it out.
Where do we begin?
Habits take a long time to form and even longer to break. This is a year-long program, split into quarters designed to give us time to mindfully explore each topic and build slowly on a solid foundation.
